Covenant Church, at 9259 Hixson Pike, is celebrating its 15th Anniversary Homecoming on Sunday. Some of the church’s favorite singers and friends from the last fifteen years will be part of the worship service and celebration.
“The lobby is already filled with dozens of pictures and items. There is definitely excitement in the air about the anniversary. We want everyone who has been blessed by the ministry of Covenant to attend this special service”, said Founding Pastor Marcus Clagg.
All charter members will be recognized on Sunday. Covenant began as a mission of the Chattanooga First Free Will Baptist Church in 1994 and officially organized as a church in 1995. The congregation has worshiped at three different addresses and built their current 12,000 square foot building across from the entrance to Lakesite in 2005.
Executive Pastor Adam Clagg said, “It is amazing to see how God has blessed so many families in the last fifteen years. This will be a wonderful day filled with testimonies, music, and great food.”
To help everyone remember the time and date, Rev. Clagg has been repeating 10/10/10 at 10. He said, “Hopefully everyone will remember.”
The two-hour worship and celebration service begins at 10 a.m. with lunch to follow.
