Barbara Fay Jenkins, 65, of Resaca, Ga., died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Calhoun Health Care, surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born September 3, 1946 in Waxhachie, Tx., a daughter of the late Haven and Betty Jo Tackett; and was also preceded by a sister, Teresa Glover; and a brother, Bobby Ray Jones.

She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Daniel Rhodes of Resaca, Janice and Rowdy Stephens of Resaca and Linda Fowler of Calhoun; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky Lee Jones of Dallas, Leon Tackett of Arvada, Col., David and Gladys Tackett of Resaca, Jerry and Joann Jones of Chatsworth, Nicholes and Amelia Esparza of Dallas, Christopher and Ida Castillo of Eden, Tx. and Darrel and Debbie Jones of Dalton; and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Miss Barbara Fay Jenkins will be held Wednesday, December 21, at 2 p.m. at Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Payne and Pastor Mike Edwards officiating. Music will be provided by Debbie Cather. Interment will follow the service at Whitfield Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dalton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 20 from 4-8 p.m. at Ponders Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
