Extreme Home Makeover Design Stars Nate Galui and Cory Surovek are donating a home design package for the Live Auction at Saturday’s Denim and Diamonds event to benefit Project Access.
Prior to getting on the bus with Ty Pennington, Mr. Galui and Mr. Surovek were both successful architectural, interior and furniture designers who led projects such as the Cosmopolitan Casino Resort in Las Vegas; Hotel Cass, the Blackstone, the Spa @ the Four Seasons in Chicago, the new 49ers stadium in Santa Clara, Ca.; Telefonica's first flagship store in Madrid, Spain; and even a few private homes for celebrity clients.
With a combined 20 homes and over 70 spaces under their belt during their tenure as design producers with Extreme Makeover Home Edition, including highly-themed bedrooms, luxurious master suites, medical therapy areas, and unusual landscape designs, they come to the table with an extraordinarily diverse design perspective and skill set unlike most other designers.
The designers said, “After falling in love with Chattanooga during our short time here helping the Sharrock family last week, we got addicted to our special Chattanoogan hospitality and just couldn't stay away.”
The team is donating up to 40 billable hours per designer (80 hours total) for a design project that can be residential or commercial; a full house/facility walkthrough with written assessment and design proposal; a one or two room makeover (depending on the project scale).
Finish, FFE, and custom fabrication are not included and would be billed at contracted rate. Their travel and accommodation expenses are being donated by a Project Access supporter.
The donated package is valued between $12,500 and $16,000.
Denim and Diamonds: Footloose is sponsored by Dale Buchanan & Associates, Barnett & Company, and Kindred Healthcare, and includes an informal evening of entertainment, dancing, auctions, and great food.
A few tickets are available for the event, but ticket sales will close at 2 p.m. on Friday. Tickets for member physicians are $75, and tickets for the general public are $125. Project Access has provided $69 million in charity health care to the working poor since its inception just 6 1/2 years ago.
The event is open to the public, and just a few tickets remain. Individual tickets are $75 for Medical Society member physicians, house staff residents are $50/person, and individuals are $125. To purchase a table or tickets, call the Medical Society at 622-2872.
