Before moving to Chattanooga, Jennifer and Paul's home in Ringgold was damaged due to storms producing tornadoes. They have now been named the grand prize winners of the inaugural Jekyll Island Dream Wedding Giveaway.

Couples from all over the country entered their story into the $74,000 valued Jekyll Island Dream Wedding Giveaway and only six beat out over 600 entrants to be named a finalist. The public was invited to vote for their favorite couple, by visiting http://www.jekyllisland.com/dream-wedding-giveaway/DreamVote.html.

The finalist couples were from Georgia, Michigan, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and the Tennessee couple claimed the grand prize. They received over 31,000 votes.

For decades, couples have started their lives together in Jekyll Island’s Historic District with its serene romantic beaches as the backdrop. In an effort to further promote Jekyll Island as a premier wedding and honeymoon destination, the Jekyll Island Authority has chosen to promote a Dream Wedding Giveaway package to showcase premier wedding venues located on the barrier island.

Brides and grooms throughout the nation will have an opportunity to say “I do” in Jekyll Island’s romantic Faith Chapel and on the grounds of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel amid the Historic District. The weekend of wedding festivities is valued at over $74,000 and includes wedding planning services by acclaimed destination wedding consulting firm Cocktails +Details.

The winning couple and their guests will first enjoy a rehearsal dinner at the Mistletoe Cottage, with event design and setup by Beachview Club Event Rentals and Design, floral décor provided by Judy Watson, of Tasteful Temptations, and local cuisine by Latitude 31⁰ Waterfront Catering.

The couple will say their ‘I dos’ in the historic Faith Chapel. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds will celebrate their nuptials with invited guests at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel’s Crane Cottage, which Architectural Record in 1924 named "the most expensive and elegant winter home ever built on Jekyll Island.”

The wedding party and guests will be treated to a meal prepared by the renowned chefs of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel.

The Jekyll Island Dream Wedding Giveaway prize package also includes a weekend designated for wedding planning on Jekyll Island at the Beachview Club Hotel.
