Gary Don Dupree, 66, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday morning, June 17, 2025.

Gary was born on July 29, 1958, in Chattanooga. He grew up in Chattanooga attending school at Hixson High School and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga before beginning his working career. During his career, he worked with Siskin Steel, Colonial Bread, Sarah Lee Bakery, Westaff, Bimbo Bakery, and Southern Lighting. Gary made the decision to follow God during his early years and attended multiple churches during his lifetime. He attended Silverdale Baptist Church on Bonny Oaks for the past five years.

In 1991, Gary met and married his wife, Terri Lynn Blazak of 33 years. Gary and Terri welcomed two children, Danielle (31) and Kevin (30) into their family not long after. During their marriage, he had several dogs whom he loved to care for: Colt, Piper, and Kopper. He also had a “grand-puppy” named Buzz. His favorite hobbies were to watch Alabama football, attend sporting events with his family, go to concerts, and spend time with his family and friends. Gary was a very loving and genuine-hearted man who will be missed dearly.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents: Alton “Donald” and Mary Lou Dupree, his grandparents: Alfred and Martha Dupree and Joe R. and Ruby Smith.

Survivors are his wife: Terri, children: Kevin and Danielle, brother: Keith (Carol), parent in-law: Richard and MaryAnn Blazak, sister-in-law: Kathy Chastain (Lynn), and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, at Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. with burial to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 1 p.m.
