In addition to managing the business operations of the Chattanooga district office, Mr. Thomas will recruit and train financial representatives and college interns. He will also continue to work with his clients to provide expert guidance and innovative solutions for a variety of financial needs and goals.
“Northwestern Mutual has an entrepreneurial business model that attracts success-oriented professionals with a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others,” said Mr. Thomas. “In the next 12 months, I hope to attract six new financial representatives to our office as well as more than 14 college interns, ranging from sophomores to seniors. It is an honor for me to serve these individuals, helping them provide exceptional value to their clients.”
Mr. Thomas joined Northwestern Mutual-Chattanooga as a financial representative in 2006, and in 2008, he added the leadership role of field director, mentoring and coaching new financial representatives. He has received a number of Northwestern Mutual awards for production and client service, including the Pacesetter 40 award 60 awards in his first year with the company. In subsequent years, he earned top honors in the company, receiving awards in the bronze, silver, gold, platinum categories.
An active business and community leader, Mr. Thomas is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Young Professionals Association of Chattanooga. He is also an active member of Calvary Chapel.
A native of Ringgold, Mr. Thomas graduated magna cum laude from Carson Newman College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in political science.
Mr. Thomas and his wife, Joanne, make their home in Chattanooga.
