John Mark Harris

John Mark Harris, 54, of Fort Oglethorpe, died on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at his residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Catoosa County, Mr. Harris was employed as a supervisor with Shaw Industries and attended Battlefield Parkway Church of the Nazarene.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred L. Harris, Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Leigh Ann Harris; children, Nate Harris, Fort Oglethorpe, Jacob Harris, Chickamauga, and Tim Swaney, Ringgold; mother, Helen Harris; brothers, Fred L. Harris, Jr., Doug and Ben Harris; sister, Mary Patricia Gordy; grandchildren, Chaz, Della and Drew Harris, Lex, Chloe, and Slade Swaney; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 27, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Joe Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in McElroy Church of Christ Cemetery, Doyle, Tn.
