James Thomas Campbell
James Thomas Campbell, 82, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
He was born in Huntsville, Al., on May 3, 1943, to the late James Perry and Kathaleen Elliott Campbell. He graduated from Lincoln County High School and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree, from University of Tennessee of Chattanooga in Accounting. He worked most of his adult life with EPB as an accountant. He retired from there after 30+ years of faithful service. James’ favorite pastime was spent fishing, but he did enjoy the occasional birdwatching from the comfort of his recliner.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left behind to cherish James’ memory are his wife of 53 years, Phyllis, his children, Christy Leffew, his sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Jannell Campbell and David and Elizabeth Campell, his six grandchildren, Katie Robinson (Darren); Emilee Creekmore (Ben); and Eryn Leffew, Maddox; Carter; and Emersyn Campbell, his brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Janice Campbell, his nieces and nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
A Celebration of James’ Life will be held later at date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hearth Hospice.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
