Here is the police report from East Ridge.
Police stopped a man int he 5700 block of Ringgold Road due to his erratic behavior. He was found to be in possession of a used needle and 3.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine. The suspect was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine.
Police were called to 1000 Bass Pro Dr. about separate thefts that occurred.
A concerned citizen requested police check the well-being of a resident on Fountain Avenue after observing a noticeable water leak emanating from the property for several days. The caller thought police should check on the occupants to inquire if they were “injured or something” or if “something was really wrong” due to no apparent efforts to quell the leak after approximately three to four days. On arrival, police saw the letters “TAWC” in rather obvious and large, legible white letters on the street in front of the residence with sizable, white arrows pointing to a leak in the driveway. Police contacted a resident in the home, who said he was fine and he and the Tennessee American Water Company were very aware of the water leak in the driveway.
Police stopped a black Dodge Challenger on S. Moore Road and Oakdale Avenue that had previously fled from multiple law enforcement agencies and conducted a field interview on the driver. The driver was identified and he said he was not in possession of the Challenger at the time of the original evasion.
A juvenile on John Ross Road reported their parent had assaulted them and then left. Officers received conflicting stories from everyone involved. Police also did not observe any signs of assault. CPS was contacted, and a report was filed with them along with a police report.
During a routine patrol on S. Terrace, a citizen was observed breaking into his own car. Police verified he was the registered owner.
A concerned citizen reported a kitten trapped in a drainage pipe on Bennett Road. Police
assisted in removing the trapped animal.
Police assisted security with the driver of an 18-wheeler blocking the exit ramp at the I-75 Welcome Center.
A fast-food restaurant on Ringgold Road closed two hours early for maintenance and a customer decided to become agitated and bang on the window. The customer left before police could trespass him at the request of management.
