Elizabeth Meyers Named Executive Director Of Birth Defects Center

  • Wednesday, June 13, 2012

The Board of Directors for the Walter E. Boehm Birth Defects Center selected Elizabeth Myers as the new executive director.

Elizabeth succeeds Sharree Stoker, who retired at the end of May, after dedicating nearly 25 years of service to the Center. In her new role, Ms. Myers will oversee the Center’s operations and will also be charged with implementing comprehensive development, marketing, and community relations programs.

“Elizabeth brings a wealth of experience to the Boehm Center, and we are confident she will provide excellent leadership as we continue to serve an ever-growing number of patients,” said Board President Denise Wilson.

Previously, Ms. Myers oversaw the marketing department at Chambliss law firm.  Prior to relocating to Chattanooga, she worked in Atlanta for Convergent Media Systems, a division of Sony, and Skanska USA Building, an international general contracting firm.  Elizabeth received her B.A. in marketing and advertising from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
