Google Business Photos Launches In Chattanooga

  • Wednesday, August 29, 2012

Thinking about having dinner at Fork & Pie Bar in downtown Chattanooga? Now people can take a virtual tour of the restaurant without leaving the comfort of their own home, thanks to a new service Google recently made available in Chattanooga,

The online search giant launched its Business Photos service in April 2010, but it has been limited to larger cities such as Chicago and New York. Within the past five months, Google also rolled out the service in Atlanta, Baltimore and Cincinnati, as well as internationally.

Contracted photographer Bleu Hayes took more than 200 photos of Fork & Pie Bars' interior, to provide a fluid tour of the eatery. The cost of the service starts at $200.

Chattanooga resident Bleu Hayes is the only photographer in Chattanooga who has completed Google’s certification process to shoot the virtual tours on a contract basis. Google lists about 200+ photographers in the United States who are certified to take business photos.
