Kimberly Nicole Henderson Boykin, 44, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.

Kim was born to the parents of Lewis and Delores Henderson and was the apple of their eye. She received Christ at an early age and later united with New Hope M. B. Church where she served faithfully until illness prevented her.

Kim was a 1987 graduate of Brainerd High School, and attended classes at Chattanooga State. She was employed at Cigna prior to her illness, and was passionately involved with the Woodmore-Hall Youth Association where she served as vice president.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, JB and Lydia Henderson, Ezell Sales, Lettie Campbell, uncle Clyde Henderson and aunt, Shirley Thomas.

She is survived by a son, Antwone Boykin, of Chattanooga; parents, Lewis (Dee Dee), and Delores Henderson, of Chattanooga; brothers SMSgt.(Ret) Terence (Audrey) Henderson, of Montgomery, AL.; Cedric Henderson, of Chattanooga; SGM Kevin Henderson, Ft. Hood, TX.; grandmother, Hazel Henderson of Chattanooga; uncle, Dana (Janice)Waite, of Baltimore; aunts, Alice Brewer and Kimberly Howard of Chattanooga; a host of cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, at New Hope M. B. Church with Reverend Wayne Johnson as eulogist, and Dr. Terence L. Mayes officiating.  Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Garden-East.

The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, with the family receiving friends from 6-7 pm. in the funeral home chapel.
