Devonte White
A Chattanooga man was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of Big Daddy's Food Mart on Dodds Avenue last week.
Charles Melville told police he had just exited his vehicle when a man approached him with a black pistol and demanded money.
Mr. Melville said he gave the man his keys and phone as well. After that, he said the man stole his car and fled.
Police were contacted immediately. Within 30 minutes, Mr. Melville's car was located and a description of the suspect was put out.
A 20-year-old man identified as Devonte White was found on Dodds Avenue, carrying a black semi-automatic gun.
He was also identified by the victim out of a lineup.
White was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. Bond was set at $100,000.
