Memorial Hospital Heart And Vascular Center Opens June 30

Memorial Hospital Guerry Heart and Vascular Center is opening to the public on June 30 and is being celebrated with a special community, grand opening event Saturday, June 14, from 1-4 p.m which will include free screenings, demonstrations, and physicians discussions on popular health care topics and more! There will also be a tour inside the Heart and Vascular Center's new cath rooms, critical care unit and chapel.

“This project represents a $318 million investment in our community, bringing more than 2,000 jobs into Chattanooga during the construction of the Guerry Heart and Vascular Center,” said James M. Hobson, FACHE, Memorial Health Care System CEO. “We’re excited to host this event and share our excitement with our patients, families and neighbors.”

Festivities will include health topic discussions on “Cardiac Surgery: Past, Present and Future” with Richard Morrison, M.D. “Guard Your Heart” with Lisa Umphrey M.D., and “Cardiac Diets – Breaking all the Rules” with Brain Jones, MS, RD, LDN. Free health screenings to include bone density screenings, % body fat and blood pressure, diabetic foot check, and hands-only CPR will be available as well.

Door prizes will include $500 and $250 gift certificates, and a year long subscription to lifeline.
