Management Firm Hired By Steve Perlaky For Raccoon Mountain Caverns Says Bob Perlaky Resisting Its Efforts

  • Wednesday, December 9, 2015

A management firm hired by Dr. Steve Perlaky to run Raccoon Mountain Caverns and Campground said the attraction's longtime manager, Bob Perlaky, is resisting its efforts.

RVC (a part of Outdoor Destination Management) is asking that it be allowed to intervene in a lawsuit pitting Dr. Perlaky against his brothers, Bob and Jeff. Chancellor Jeff Atherton granted the intervention.

Bob and Jeff Perlaky, are seeking a permanent injunction against Dr. Perlaky from turning the attraction over to the national firm. A final order on the injunction issue has not yet gone down. A lengthy hearing was held earlier.

RVC said it reached an agreement with Dr. Steve Perlaky on managing the Lookout Valley site, but has not been able to begin its work there.

It was noted that the management firm has already begun collecting money for its services, which are not actually being provided.

The firm said it appears it "will require the court's assistance" in order to get access to the site.
