Bobby Joe Rogers
Bobby Joe Rogers, Sr., 69, of Rossville, Georgia, died on April 16, 2015.
He had lived in the Rossville area for most of his life and was of the Baptist faith. Bobby was a veteran in the United States Army and was an expert marksman. He was an avid Civil War buff, as well as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Rachel Rogers and brother; Jimmy Rogers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Velma Rogers of Rossville; his daughter, Diana (Ty) Carter of Rossville, GA; sons, Bobby Joe Rogers, Jr. of Rossville, Danny Rogers of Rossville; brother, Buddy Rogers of Ootlewah; and grandchildren, Bobby Rogers III, Dallas Rogers, Zachary Carter, and Dallas Carter.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, at 12:30 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
