7-Year-Old Struck In Hit-And-Run Incident Sunday Afternoon; Driver Of Jeep Grand Cherokee With Cracked Windshield Sought

A seven-year-old was struck by a vehicle on Sunday afternoon in a hit-and-run incident at 3100 E. 51st St. The child was treated for minor injuries and was expected to leave the hospital later on Monday.

Police spoke with everyone at the scene, but no one saw the actual incident occur.

The witnesses stated once they arrived on scene the driver of the vehicle left. Several people described the vehicle as a blue/green Jeep Grand Cherokee with a cracked windshield.

They described the driver as a white male in his 40s, with a white female passenger. 

Police had responded at approximately 3:01 p.m. 

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident or concerning this vehicle to call 423 698-2525
