A former Ringgold resident, who was living in Florida, has been charged with killing her father and six-year-old daughter.
Authorities said Cheyanne Jessie stabbed daughter Meredith Jessie in the throat and shot her father, Mark Weekly, 50, in the head. It happened at a rental house in Lakeland on July 18.
She left the bodies in the home, then returned four days later and put them in containers. She then hid them in a shed.
Family members said Ms. Jessie had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
