Iona Billingsley
Iona Jordan Billingsley, 94, of Chattanooga, peacefully died on Friday, September 25, 2015.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Iona was a homemaker who loved caring for her family with special meals and beautiful quilts. She was also a member of Central Church of Christ for over 70 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Alan P. Billingsley; sons, Dewey P. Billingsley and Dewayne A. Billingsley; parents, Dee and Gertie Jordan; sisters, Celesta Rogers, Medra Thrasher and Kate Kilgore and brothers, Vestal, Howard, Jesse, Kenneth and Harley Jordan.
Iona is survived by her daughters-in-law, Kay Billingsley and Beverly Billingsley; grandchildren, Derek (Stephanie) Billingsley, Doug Billingsley, Kristen (Matt) Sigler and Aaron (Tiffany) Billingsley; great grandchildren, Nicholas Billingsley, Shelby Billingsley, Andrew Billingsley, Allison, Katelyn and Kinsley Sigler.
The family will receive friend from 2-4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home chapel with Minister John Cupp officiating.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Katy Hamby with Hamby Home for the Aged and Caris Hospice for their love and care given to Iona.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
