Lee Roberts
Travis “Lee” Roberts, 74, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, died on Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
Lee was born in Bastrop, Texas on April 1, 1941 to parents, J.R. and Genevieve Roberts. He was a member of Abba’s House. Lee was an avid writer and published the Christian series “Praying God’s Will”. He was appointed as chairman of the Southern Baptist Convention by Dr. Charles Stanley. He and Cindy owned the Milk and Honey sheep farm. He was one of the top residential salesmen in the country for Hemma Concrete in Atlanta, GA.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Travis Lee Roberts Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Cindy Roberts; daughter, Rhonda Howe (Jim); of Hutto, TX; daughter, Faith Renee Roberts of Marietta, GA; daughter; Andrea Baker (Andy) of La Paz, Bolivia; Eve Santiago (Nestor) of Trussville, AL; daughter Laura McLain (Cody) of Pinson, AL; and 13 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6 at Abba’s House, 5208 Hixson Pike, with services at 1 p.m.. Pastor Ron Phillips will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
