A Chattanooga man with a felony conviction who was found with weapons and drugs has been sentenced to serve 70 months in federal prison.

Arterrius Allen, 27, appeared before Judge Curtis Collier.

On Oct. 22, 2015, the Chattanooga Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit executed a search warrant on Allen’s residence. He was present at the residence at that time as were several others. The defendant almost immediately demanded to speak with CPD once they arrived at his house.

Allen told officers there was a pistol and a 30/30 rifle in his bedroom underneath a mattress along with some marijuana. Police found a Hi Point 9mm pistol under one mattress, a Marlin 30/30 rifle under another mattress, a baggie of marijuana and digital scales in a bedroom dresser drawer, a GED card belonging to the defendant in a dresser drawer, and four rounds of 30/30 ammunition as well as $101 in the defendant’s pocket.
