Bradley County Issues Burn Ban

  • Monday, November 14, 2016

A burn ban is in effect across all Bradley County due to "dangerously dry" conditions until further notice.

Absolutely no outside burning or fires of any type are allowed effective immediately. Bradley County Mayor D. Gary Davis has requested and received a burn ban for Bradley County from Tennessee Agriculture Commissioner Jai Templeton due to the current weather conditions and forest fire situations.

A violation of the burn ban is considered a Class A misdemeanor which could lead to a fine of up to $2,500 and/or up to 11 months and 29 days in jail.
