Erlanger Switches To ApolloMD For Emergency Physician Services; PEMA To Continue Emergency Physicians At Children’s Hospital

Erlanger Health System announced a partnership with ApolloMD, a fully integrated multi-specialty physician services practice, to provide emergency physician services beginning summer 2017. 

Erlanger has long used EmCare fpr its emercency services.

Officials said, "As a leader in the delivery of emergency medicine services, ApolloMD will provide Erlanger Health System with emergency department physicians focused solely on optimizing emergency department efficiency and patient experience, which will positively transform the delivery of patient care." 

ApolloMD will manage the emergency physician services at Erlanger University Hospital, Erlanger East Hospital, Erlanger North Hospital, and Erlanger Bledsoe Hospital as well as Erlanger Sequatchie Valley Emergency Department in Dunlap, Tn.

ApolloMD will also work in conjunction with Pediatric Emergency Medicine Associates (PEMA), which currently manages pediatric emergency care at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.

Officials said Erlanger "remains steadfast and committed to emergency residency training through the University of Tennessee College of Medicine-Chattanooga.  The exceptional patient care provided by Erlanger’s own emergency physicians is also passed on to physicians specializing in emergency medicine and practicing in the region."
