James Logon Thomason, 75, of Soddy Daisy, died on Wednesday, February 24, 2016.

Logon was born in Mount Pleasant, Tn., to the late Jack and Lucy Thomason.  He was a 1960 graduate of Kirkman High School.  Logon has been a member of the Carpenters Local # 74 for over 56 years.  He was a member of the Church of Christ that meets at Middle Valley. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Thomason.

Logon is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sue Nale Thomason; three children, Michael (Beverly) Thomason, Angie (Teddy) Ballew and Chris (Gini) Thomason; ten grandchildren, Christy and Jeffery Thomason, Travis (Karen) Johnson, Brandon (Alecia) Farrell, Andrew (Natasha) Thomason, Ashley and Tara Ballew, Rory, Ally and Cody Thomason; 12 great-grandchildren; five siblings, Farrell (Shirley) Thomason, Jackie Tucker, Pam (Steve) Spurgeon, Pat (Don) Beck and Scott (Denise) Thomason; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, and 12-2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Services for Logon will follow at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, at the North Chapel with Minister Larry Clements officiating.  Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.  

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
