Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Announces 2016 Scholarship Recipients

Gamma Theta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. awarded scholarships to seniors from local high schools.  The six scholarship recipients were chosen from a pool of 50 qualifying applicants.  The recipients were selected based on their exceptional scholastic achievements, community service, and their essay.

The 2016 recipients are:

1) Ajasia Harris (Howard) the daughter of Rennita Reed.  Ajasia plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and major in interior design.

2) Sydnee Ruff (Tyner) the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan Reginald Ruff, III.  Sydnee plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and major in chemical engineering.  

3) Kaylx Davis (Chattanooga School for the Creative Arts) is the daughter of Michiba Pendergrass and Ira Davis.  Kaylx plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and major in chemistry.  

4) Nadia Davis (Red Bank) is under the guardianship of Jacqueline Davis and David McDaniel.  Nadia plans to attend University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and major in nursing. 

5) J'Darius Cameron (Chattanooga School for the Arts and Science) is the son of Anquariette Cameron and Edrius Cameron.  J’Darius plans to attend Middle Tennessee State University and major in communications.

6) Jaylan Jordan (Red Bank) is the son of Yolanda Jones and John Jones.  Jaylan plans to attend East Tennessee State University and major in accounting.
