William Joseph Redmond, 87, of Rock Spring, passed away Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017. A native of Tuckahoe, NY, he has lived in the Rock Spring area for the past 51 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a former employee of Jake Marshall, a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union local #43 and was of the Catholic faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Agnes Begg Redmond; brother, John Redmond; sister, Aileen Varner; and brother-in-law, Glenn “Buck” Varner.
He is survived by three children, Chanshini Redmond, Katrina Redmond, and Wade Redmond, all of Rock Spring; two grandchildren, Kyla and Pierce Mitchell; niece, Patricia Stewart and nephew, Michael Varner.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
