Archie Clay
Archie Clay, Sr., of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 in the Hospice Care Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmit and Sedalia Clay; eleven siblings; a devoted nephew; and stepdaughter, Cynthia Scott.
Survivors include his wife, Gilda Clay; children, Melissa (Gregory) Parker, Bonita (Kenneth) Hopkins, Tanga Richie, Archie Clay, Jr., all of Chattanooga, and Mary Vonda (Sherwin) Ramsey of Tampa, FL; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Staten of Chattanooga; brothers-in-law, William (Margaret) Scott of Chattanooga and Larry (Brenda) Scott of Nashville; sister-in-law, Deborah Scott of Orange County, CA; a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation is on Thursday, March 30, from 7-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, March 31, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Timothy Careathers as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
