Representatives Got Close Up Look At Terror

  • Thursday, June 15, 2017
This morning after watching yesterday's events unfold and in particular watching the interview of Congressman Chuck Fleischmann's it struck me that maybe just maybe our representatives have an insight into the terror that sometimes our law enforcement face across our nation on a daily basis.

I'm not putting Mr.
Fleischmann down in any way but he was terrified. It showed and well it should have.

To our local, state and federal representatives, take notice. We in law enforcement deal with people like this shooter on a daily basis somewhere in this country. We stand between good and evil on a daily basis.

Overwhelmingly those victims stated that had law enforcement not been there it would have been a bloodbath.

We in law enforcement don't do our jobs for glory or fame yet we are compensated poorly for our efforts.

The next time you see a story where a member of law enforcement has taken the life of a suspect for whatever reason remember the terror in Mr. Fleischmann's voice and remember that law enforcement officer probably felt that same terror. Judge only on facts and not the court of public opinion or social media.

It's high time that our local, state and federal representatives stand up for our law enforcement and compensate them accordingly. It's time for our representatives to pass legislation for collective bargaining for all emergency services.

We are the thin blue line that stands between you and those who would do you harm.
