Paul Kossoff's Gibson Les Paul Sunburst Lands At Songbirds

  • Thursday, October 25, 2018

Songbirds announces it will be the temporary home for Paul Kossoff's 1959 Gibson Les Paul Sunburst, on loan from Kris Blakely.

Officials said this iconic piece of rock and roll history is the perfect fit among hundreds of vintage guitars of its kind. This particular piece and its story are surely not one to miss while making your way through Chattanooga.

Owned by mr. Kossoff until his death, this particular vintage guitar is a special one as it was used on his performances of Free's biggest hit "All Right Now".

Songbirds curator David Davidson said, "This 1959 Gibson Les Paul Model is an amazing example of pure playability and tone that the model is known for. It is no wonder why Paul Kossoff chose this particular guitar to record and play some of the legendary music of his brilliant, yet short career."

To see and hear more about this Burst, book a tour today at Songbirds Guitar Museum by visiting www.songbirds.rocks or calling 531-2473.
