Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Hixson Pike on Thursday evening.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office traffic investigators responded to the 7600 block of Hixson Pike for the report of a multiple vehicle accident around 7:09 p.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, a Nissan pickup truck pulled out of a business parking lot headed south on Hixson Pike in the right hand lane (slow lane) when a Ford pickup truck traveling south in the left lane (fast lane) veered to the right lane and struck the Nissan pickup.
After the impact, the Nissan pickup ended up facing north in the turn lane and the Ford pickup ran off the right side of the road where it came to rest.
The only victims in the accident were the drivers of both cars.
Both drivers were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At this time, no impairment has been noted by either driver and no charges are pending.
