Seth Cordell and his wife
An electrician from Hixson and a roofer from Nashville are ringing in the holidays in style this week, each having won one million dollars playing Tennessee Lottery games.
For the Hixson winner, Seth Cordell, whose family owns an electrical business, a stop for gas turned into much more after he purchased an “Ultimate Millions” instant ticket at Circle K, 8540 Hixson Pike in Hixson.
“I got back to the office and showed my secretary,” said Mr.
Cordell. “I asked her if she was seeing what I thought I was seeing … and she shouted: ‘You’ve won the lottery!’”
The prize will be a “nice cushion” for his family, he said.
Jaime Ortez of Nashville, who owns a roofing company, said he was “unbelievably happy” about his big win, which happened after playing a “Millionaire Jumbo Bucks” ticket purchased from Dodge’s Store, 510 Northwest Broad St., Murfreesboro.
