Gwendolyn Denise “Niecee” Chunn, 54, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018, in the Hospice Care Center. 

She was a 1982 graduate of Riverside High School. She was a faithful member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she sang on the Praise Team and in the choir.  “Niecee” was formerly employed by Olan Mills, Inc. 

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Pearl Lomax; maternal grandparents, Jeff (Ireatha) Smith, paternal grandparents, Baker (Hickman) Chunn; father, James Chunn, Sr.; and brother, James Chunn, Jr. 

Survivors include her sons, Edgar Harris, Jr. and Jeffrey (Ashley) Chunn; grandchildren, A’Dryoun Stewart and Jayden Chunn; mother, Shirley Chunn; sister, Veronica “Ronnie” Chunn; brother, Jeffrey (Marla) Chunn, all of Chattanooga; aunt, Willie Mae Ellison of Huntsville, Al.; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; special soul sisters, Ruby Ellis and Melanie Sandford; other relatives and friends. 

Visitation is on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 1:30 p.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne L. Johnson, Sr. as the eulogist. 

Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
