2 Men Die After Domestic Conflict Tuesday Afternoon On Eldridge Road; Shawn Pruitt Foster Died Tuesday; Melvin Lee Scott Died Wednesday

Two people who were critically injured Tuesday afternoon in a domestic conflict on Eldridge Road have died. Shawn Pruitt Foster, 35, died shortly after arriving at a local hospital. Then 71-year-old Melvin Lee Scott died Wednesday. 

At approximately 1 p.m., Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to the 12890 block of Eldridge Road on a report of a person shot.

Preliminary reports indicate that a domestic situation occurred between two men at the residence.

At some point during the course of the domestic situation, a firearm was introduced.

Two victims were transported to a local hospital. One was flown by LifeForce helicopter and the other was transported by Hamilton County EMS via ambulance.
