Silverdale Baptist Academy's Interact Club addressed the Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place.  The Interact Club shared their experiences of bringing water filters to villages in Guatemala and gave a demonstration of how the water filters work.

An Interact Club is a Rotary Club sponsored organization for young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service above Self.  Interact stands for International Action and carries out projects based on four main elements: community service, finances, international understanding and club service.  Interact Clubs are a basic stepping stone for teenagers to bring them into the adult world in terms of character, social stability, and management capabilities, said officials.

Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place recently celebrated 3 rotary club members who achieved a first time Paul Harris Fellow recognition.

Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1000.00 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.  During the past 100 years, the Rotary Foundation has spent $3 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects such as efforts towards the eradication of polio, training future peacemakers, supporting clean water, strengthening local economics.  The Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place is excited and proud to announce these club members as first time Paul Harris Fellows.
