Drivers traveling on Highway 41 (Cummings Highway) in Marion County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will temporarily impact traffic.
On Monday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time, Tennessee Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close Cummings Highway between Raccoon Mountain Road and Holder Lane to replace a drainpipe underneath the roadway.
Message boards are in place warning drivers of the upcoming closure. First responders and emergency personnel have been notified.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution as they travel through this area and expect delays. This work is weather-dependent. Should inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances cause delays, it will be rescheduled for a later date. Uniformed police officers will be present to assist with traffic control and law enforcement.
