Matthew Paul Arner
Matthew Paul Arner, 53, a resident of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday May 31, 2018.
Matt was born on March 31, 1965, to the late Paul Henry Arner and Dorothy Harrison Wilkins. He was alumni of Collegedale Academy class of 1984. Matt took great pride in the work he did and was very generous with his time, frequently volunteering his talents for the St. Jude Homes. In his spare time, he enjoyed music, horses, and working in the yard, but more than anything, Matt enjoyed spending time with his family. Matthew was well loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Matt leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving companion of 10 years, Angela Johnson; children, Nickolas VanOrnum, Destiny Johnson, Billy Evans, Brittney Land, Cortney Land, Cristy Keith, and Madison Johnson; siblings, Dennis Arner, Jerome Arner, Suzanne Ewing, Gordon Arner, Valerie Ellis, Kaye Spurgeon, Robin Frazey, Adele Grant, Joseph Arner, Michele Sundean, and Daniel Arner; 14 grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at Companion Funeral Home, at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, Tn. 37311, with Pastor Joe Arner officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior, from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
