Man Killed In Sunday Morning Wreck In Walker County

A man was killed in a wreck on Mission Ridge Road in Walker County on Sunday morning.

The victim was identified as Robert Chapman.

The Georgia State Patrol said Mr. Chapman was speeding on Johnson Road, when he went into the eastbound lane and crossed Mission Ridge Road into the Kwik-E-Mart parking lot.

His Nissan Ultima hit a concrete pad, then went into nearby woods and hit a large tree.

The victim, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
