Federico “Freddy” Linares, 64, of Chattanooga, passed away on July 26, 2018.

 

Mr. Linares was born in Sabana De La Mar, Dominican Republic to the late Jesus Trinidad and Lucrecia Linares.  He was raised in the Bronx in New York and graduated from Southern Adventist University with a bachelor’s degree in Seminary. He worked at McKee Bakery for 20 years, then was employed at Coldwell Banker Pryor Realty for 24 years. Freddy was a member of Collegedale Community Church where he founded the Spanish College SDA Church in the 1990s. He was a published author in January 2018 writing “Natalia Will I Ever Find You?” He will always be remembered as a wonderful father, friend and musician.

 

Surviving are his daughters, Deniella Linares of Wilmington, N.C., and Tiana Linares of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Roman Derrick and Orion Linares; siblings, Ines Deleon, Sol Linares, Roberto Linares, Zuleida Trinidad Linares and Claudio Linares; life partner, Brunilda Mendoza; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, at the funeral home, and from 10-11 a.m. on Sunday at the church.

 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 29, at Collegedale Community Church, 9305 Four Corners Place, Collegedale Tn. 37315, with Pastor Nate Dubs officiating. 

 

Burial will follow at Lakewood East Cemetery.
