Joy Blake, was born on May 12, 1941, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 14, 2019 in a local hospital. 

Joy was a lifelong member of Olivet Baptist Church.  She retired from Synthetic Industries.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Johnson; mother, Lula Blackmon; brothers, Richard, Howard, James and Johnny; sister, Betty.  She leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Angela Blake; son, Michael Blake; granddaughter Meagan Blake; sisters, Dorothy Blackmon, Bobbie Tillman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, Alice Scott and Bernadine Stinson.

Public viewing will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Olivet Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at noon. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
