Police said a pair of thieves made off with $1,130 in items from the Burlington store at 2521 Lifestyle Way. A Loss Prevention Agent said a female came in at approximately 5:37 p.m. A male came in seven minutes later. They both got carts and the female loaded hers with luggage, shoes, handbags, and clothing. The male loaded up with shoes, a book bag, clothes and two watches. They both passed all points of sale at approximately 6:05 p.m.

At a pawn shop at 5712 Lee Highway, the manager said around five black males came into his store and stole three or four Apple watches from the display valued at around $600. He said the theft happened around 1 p.m., but he did not know about it until a fellow employee told him. Police were shown video footage of the suspects coming into the store and leaving. The video quality was not very high but police were attempting to identify the thieves.

A woman on Cypress Street Court said her daughter’s bike had been stolen. She said her daughter left the bike on the front porch at around 10 p.m.. It was turquoise and had pink (after market) lights. She said she had no suspect information, however, there was a public housing camera directly above her front porch where the bike was last seen. She said the bike was brand new and cost around $200 with the lights. Police checked the area, however, were unable to locate the bike or suspects.

A black Nissan was parked with the driver's side door open in a parking garage next to the Chattanoogan Hotel. Employees of the garage were worried due to the high vehicle thefts in the area along with other suspicious activity. The vehicle was registered to EAN Holdings. (Car rental) At this time nothing else was suspicious about the vehicle. Garage maintenance closed the vehicle door and locked it.

A resident of Shoreline Drive said she had possibly left her vehicle unlocked and someone stole items out of it. Her Louis Vuitton purse valued at $1,500 was stolen. Other items inside the bag that were also taken were $40 in cash and a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses valued at $150.

Police checked out an incident at 40 Starview Lane at Fairfield Inn. The complainant said that he works for TVA and he parked his work truck there around 6 p.m. There were some tools left in the bed of the truck, which is enclosed with a locking tailgate. The truck stayed there overnight and the next morning around 6:30 a.m., he discovered that the tailgate was open and about $1,000 worth of hand tools were gone. He said that he was not certain that the tailgate was locked when he parked the truck.
