Edward Lebron Chapman, Sr., 72, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019, in a local hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Alberta Chapman; brother, Donald “Donnie” Chapman; parents-in-law, Reverend H.L. and Elizabeth Wheeler; and granddaughter, Brandi McCrary.
Survivors include his devoted wife and best friend of 48 years, Norma Wheeler Chapman; sons, Edward (Jackie) Chapman, Jr., Timothy (Glenda) Chapman, and Micah (Courtney) Chapman; daughter, Tosha McCrary; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Edward “Buster” Chapman; sisters, Linda Visher and Carolyn Joyce Chapman; three sisters-in-law; a host of nephews; nieces; other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 9 a.m. at Word Empowerment Church.
Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor J.W. Cole as the eulogist. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
