City Officer Michael Favors Dies Unexpectedly At 55

A Chattanooga Police officer has died unexpectedly.

Officer Michael Favors, 55, died Monday at home.

He had served since 1991 in the Public Housing, Neighborhood Policing, and Property Crimes units.

He will lie in state on Friday after 1 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Saturday at noon in the chapel with Pastor Anthony Williams as the eulogist.
