Chattanooga Under Flood Watch As New Round Of Storms Approaches

Chattanooga is under a Flood Watch until Saturday morning as a new round of heavy rain and thunderstorms was approaching from the west.

The city has already been pounded by days of rain, leading to minor flooding in the area and a number of road closures.

Here is the Flood Watch from the National Weather Service:

FLOOD WATCH FROM 12AM EST FRI UNTIL 7AM EST SAT ...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MORRISTOWN HAS ISSUED A * FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA, EAST TENNESSEE, AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS, IN SOUTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA, CHEROKEE AND CLAY.
