Lawann Demetrius Scott
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was contacted on Thursday by the FBI Field Office in Memphis and the Memphis Police Department requesting assistance in apprehending a violent felon wanted out of their jurisdiction.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team, assisted by the United States Marshal Service and the Chattanooga Police Department Fugitive Division, apprehended Lawann Demetrius Scott on Thursday in the 3500 block of Dayton Boulevard on especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, seven counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, 10 counts of soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means, statutory rape by authority figure, aggravated statutory rape, and continuous sexual abuse of a child.
Scott is currently being held at the Hamilton County Jail and is awaiting transport to Shelby County Jail in Memphis.
