U.S. Navy Veteran Was National Account Manager For CSX Transportation

William Johnnie Fugatt, 84, of Chattanooga passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.  

He was of the Baptist faith.  

He had worked for CSX Transportation as a national account manager. Mr. Fugatt was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 95, the VFW and was a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Fugatt and a brother, Freddy Fugatt. 

Survivors include his two sons, Ben Fugatt and Troy Fugatt; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean McCallister and Olavene Starnes; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 19, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. Family and friends will gather at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. on Friday.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
