  • Monday, June 24, 2019

As the angels sang, the Lord called Mae Edith Hatfield home on Friday, June 21, 2019.

Edith lived her entire life in the Jasper, Tn. area where she raised her family. She had worked for numerous businesses in this area as a housekeeper and cook. Edith was known for her hard work and dedication to each of her employers.

Edith was of the Baptist faith and loved her Lord and Savior. Her treasures were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren which she adored with all her heart. She loved her friends, loved to talk, enjoyed spending all the time she had with her company and most of all being a true friend to each person that came into her life. Edith enjoyed cooking for everyone that entered her home and if you knew her well, you knew she had the love for Little Debbie cakes and coffee.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Edward Hatfield; parents, Stokely and Flora Wiley Norton; son, Eddie Hatfield; brothers, Fred, Clyde, Joe and Ed Norton; sister, Bertha Roberts; and her dog, Chloe.

The ones left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Gail Caldwell; daughter-in-law, Samantha Hatfield Kelley; grandchildren, Michael Caldwell, Cody Molineaux, and Abagael Mae Hatfield; great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Lillian and Joseph Caldwell; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to especially thank Nancy Roberts Hargis and Lester Roberts for all their love and support shown to Edith during her illness. The love was never gone unnoticed.
