James Brantley, Chattanooga Zoo director of community engagement, visits the Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer's Center of Excellence once a month to introduce the residents to a new animal and teach them more about the natural world.

“Did you know that the Dominique chicken breed is thought to be America's first chicken? asked Michele Gunther, Lantern program director. "Some think it was brought over on the Mayflower. James is so knowledgeable, and we always learn so much when he comes to visit.

We are so grateful to be able to partner with the Chattanooga Zoo to help broaden our residents’ horizons.”
