Charles Dale “Charlie” Odam, 87, of East Ridge went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 16, 2019. 

Mr. Odam grew up in Mobile, Al., and had lived most of his life in the Chattanooga area graduating from UTC as a CPA.  He worked several years for Jobbers Warehouse and retired in 1995 from WDI Industries with 11 years of service. Mr. Odam loved the Lord and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.  He also loved boxing and was an avid Alabama football fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Veda Odam; and sister, Ardith Bru.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Bertha Odam; two children, Lee Anne (Buddy) Werner and Brad Odam; two step-children, Karen Ingram and Lisa Newberry; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 6 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Brother Tony Bennett officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
