Cleveland State Baseball Releases Fall Schedule

Cleveland State Baseball has released its schedule for the fall of 2019.

 

The Cougars will open their fall series of scrimmages on Sept. 13 at 11:00 AM ET against fellow TCCAA member Jackson State on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn. They will face another conference foe in Motlow State later that day at 2:00 PM ET. Cleveland State will also travel to face TCCAA cross-town rival Chattanooga State in Chattanooga on Sept.

18 at 2:00 PM ET.

 

The Cougars will play four home games in the fall, starting by hosting Union College JV on Sept. 22 at 1:00 PM ET. They will host Chattanooga State on Sept. 25 at 2:00 PM ET, Bryan JV on Oct. 2 at 2:00 PM ET, and Tennessee Wesleyan JV on Oct. 9 at 2:00 ET.

Chattanooga Man, 31, Killed In Head-On Crash Near Elizabethton; His Vehicle Was Struck By Man Fleeing Police

A Chattanooga man who was hit head-on by a vehicle being chased by police near Elizabethton, Tn., was killed in the crash late Sunday morning. He was identified as Thomas Taylor, 31. Fishermen Spot Body In Ocoee River

Two fishermen spotted a body in the Ocoee River on Sunday. Polk County Sheriff's deputies were then able to retrieve a man's body around noon. It was located about 100 yards west of Big River Access. The body was sent to Knoxville for an autopsy and to seek identification. (click for more)
