Jimmie Joe Earl, 80, passed away on August 24, 2019.

He was a faithful member of St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church for many years, where he served faithfully on the Trustee Board and Male Choir.

He leaves to treasure his memories: a loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Frances Maureen Earl; stepson, David Curington; two grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Thomas Curington and Jerome K. Curington; sisters-in-law, Rachel E. Nelson and Addie Bell (Gus) Horton; special cousins, Dorothy Hammond of Chattanooga and Mary Henry Wiggins of Bridgeport, AL; a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.

Public viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, at St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the church.

Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
